A beautiful Colorado day-blue blue sky with about 8" snow still on the ground from yesterday's snow storm. Had a 3 mile walk around Bear Creek and our usual picnic lunch. Not as warm a day as it was yesterday. Bike ride around Bear lake. Decided to walked down to this little lake that is just off the concrete trail and one that we have not visited before but have often seen it on our rides. A very pretty little lake with a gaggle of Canada geese. Usual Lumix with 45-200mm lens, f6 at 1/320, 45mm, Iso 100. Canada goose coming in to join its mates on the lake. f6.3, 1/2000 at 200mm

March 11th, what a day. Had our civics test for citizenship.Then were told that the Oath of Allegiance Ceremony would take place at 1.30, that same day. We had expected to have to wait at least another month or two for this, what a surprise. First shot with the Olympus E-P2 with 14-45mm lens. first shot outside the Federal Offices-Dept of Homeland Security-f3.5, 1/400. Second shot waiting for the ceremony to start 14mm, f3.5, 1/8. Third shot-New American Citizen, after the ceremony 14mm, f3.5, 1/2.5

Took our car straight to Bear Lake to see if we could find the owl nest that we had been told about. Walked into the picnic area and sure enough, there it was with mama owl sitting on the nest.Usual Camera, f9, 1/160 lens at 200mm

Usual camera at f8 1/60, ISO 100. This is the 1st Navy Jack Flag which the American Navy flew as a symbol of Independence from Great Britain. The US Navy will fly the flag for the duration of the war on terror.

went to the 9.00 am service at Heritage UMC and met Mark and Debbie Meier for the service. After the service, took them to the Blue Cow in Morrison for brunch. After lunch, they returned to Conifer and we decided to head home to collect our bikes for a ride around Bear Lake as it was such a lovely day. Being a weekend, Bear lake was very busy with lots of hikers, cyclists and horse riders. Took this shot with usual camera, f11, 1/320.

Another beautiful day. After our lecture, this morning, at Heritage Church, by Pemba Dorje Sherpa on scaling Everest, we packed a picnic lunch and headed for Bear Lake. Shot these two riders at the stables. Then a bit further on the trail we saw these riders in the distance, ascending Mount Carbon. Camera the usual at f11. 1/160 and f11, 1/400, ISO 100
