Ice fishermen on Bear Lake-this must be the coldest sport imaginable because it seems to be mostly, totally inactive. Camera Panesonic G1, lens 45-200mm @ 200 f6.3 @ 1/2500

Beautiful day today after the overcast skies of the last few days. Afternoon ride instead of our usual morning ride. Managed to get this shot of the trail along Bear Creek at Shunk Hollw just before the sun settled down below the front range hills.

This playground stands empty and forlorn waiting for the children of summer. Beautiful day after the grey skies of the past few days.

Light dusting of snow on these stones made an interesting pattern. Saw this effect at the post office but did not have a camera (another lesson to always carry a camera) Tried to recapture the effect here but not quite the same.

Frozen lake on Bear Creek Trail near the stone cottage. Thought that these shadows on the ice made an interesting pattern. Still quite a strong , cold wind this morning which cut our walk short, temperatures around 36 deg f but with the wind chill felt more like 25 deg f. Camera Panesonic Lumix, 45 to 200 mm lens @ f 8.0 1/800 sec
